I hope that one day, I’ll be able to tell my patients who have run out of eggs, “Wait, there’s a cure.” For now, I scour the medical literature for everything and anything that could possibly make a difference. While this study is in the mouse model, their findings may suggest that shift work and social jet lag (where the sleep/work schedule does not coincide with the sleep/wake cycle dictated by the circadian clock) affects ovarian reserve and manipulating it can reverse ovarian aging.
