I recently had the incredible opportunity to be a guest on Whitney Cumming’s podcast “Good For You,”, and I couldn’t be more excited to share some of the highlights from our discussion. We covered several fertility related topics, the impact of NAD boosters like Tru Niagen, and talked about what might be on the horizon for fertility treatments. It was an enlightening and fun conversation, and here are some key points that stood out.
Dr. Aimee’s Path to Becoming a Fertility Specialist
To kick things off, Whitney and I talked about how I got into the field of fertility. Believe it or not, it’s something that’s been in my genes for generations. I literally came out of my mom’s womb saying, ‘Who wants a baby?’ From a young age, I knew I wanted to be a fertility doctor. Watching my mom go through multiple miscarriages drove me to find solutions, and I dedicated my life to helping women who suffer from similar issues.
Today’s Fertility Challenges
We also tackled the topic of today’s fertility challenges. More young people are struggling to get pregnant, and it’s not just due to age. Environmental toxins, poor nutrition, and a high-stress lifestyle play significant roles. We touched on how Tru Niagen, an NAD booster, has been a game-changer for improving egg quality and overall fertility. Whitney’s personal experience with Tru Niagen was a testament to its effectiveness, showing how taking care of our cellular health can make a huge difference.
Advancements in Fertility Science
On a more technical side, we explored cutting-edge fertility treatments and what the future might hold. From ovarian rejuvenation, which let’s admit, sounds like a facial for your ovaries, to the potential of whole genome sequencing of embryos—it’s an exciting time in fertility science. We even ventured into the controversial realm of egg rejuvenation and ovarian PRP. With advancements like these, we’re getting closer to making age less of a defining factor when it comes to fertility.
Mental and Physical Well-being in Fertility Care
Whitney also emphasized the importance of mental and physical well-being in fertility. Exercise, a healthy diet, and reducing stress are crucial. Sometimes the journey of trying to get pregnant becomes so overwhelming that taking a step back and focusing on wellness can make a big difference. I regularly recommend my patients incorporate mindfulness and strength training into their routines.
Accessibility for All
Lastly, we chatted about accessibility and future aspirations. Fertility treatments can be expensive, and not everyone has the resources. I’m hopeful that with technological advancements and more support, we can make these essential treatments accessible to everyone in need. Imagine a world where every person who wishes to have a child can easily get the help they need. That’s the future I’m working toward.
I had a blast talking with Whitney, and I hope our conversation sheds some light on the importance of fertility awareness and care.
